1. What Rodspan is
Rodspan is a chat client with a memory layer, made by Rodspan LLC, a Wyoming (USA) company. You connect your own API key from an AI provider and talk to models through Rodspan; in the background it extracts typed memory cards — small structured notes on what you decided, asked, or left open — that it can bring back into later conversations. You can read, edit, delete, and export every card. Using Rodspan means you accept these terms.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old to use Rodspan.
3. Your content
Your conversations and memory cards are yours. We claim no ownership. You give Rodspan LLC a limited license to store, process, and display this content — only as far as running the service for you requires, including sending conversation content to the model provider behind your key. Export and deletion are always available: take your content out as plain markdown files, or delete it, at any time. The license ends for content you delete. We do not use your content to train AI models.
4. Your API key
Rodspan runs on your own API key. Your relationship with the model provider is direct — their terms govern the key, and they bill you for API usage. Rodspan stores the key to make requests on your behalf and adds no charge on that usage.
5. Acceptable use
Use Rodspan lawfully, with content you have the right to use. Do not probe, overload, or disrupt the service, and do not try to reach data that is not yours. What you do with the model behind your key must also follow that provider's terms.
6. Not medical care
Rodspan is a tool for thinking and memory. It is not a medical or mental-health service, it does not give medical or psychological advice, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional. When Rodspan shows crisis resources — such as the 988 line in the United States — they are shown for information only. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services.
7. Alpha software
Rodspan is alpha software, provided as-is and as-available. Expect rough edges, changes, and downtime. We make no promises about availability.
8. Payments and refunds
Paid plans, where offered, are sold through Paddle, the merchant of record — Paddle handles checkout, billing, and sales tax. Refunds follow the Refund Policy, including a 30-day money-back guarantee.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows: Rodspan LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or lost business, arising from use of the service; and our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid Rodspan LLC in the twelve months before the event behind the claim.
10. Changes
We may update these terms as Rodspan develops. Changes appear on this page with a new effective date; using Rodspan after that means you accept them.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA.
